Marti Michell
| In 1972 Marti Michell set up "Yours Truly Inc." a premiere
company in quilt making and fabric crafts. In 1985 she sold her company and
began writing books and designing fabrics, patterns and tools for several
major quilting companies. In 1995 she and her husband Dick established "From
Marti Michell" to concentrate on the development and production of Perfect Patchwork System templates. The acrylic templates are an extension of the popular strip quilting technique that has revolutionised quilt making. In 1991 she received the first Quilt Industry Lifetime Achievement Award. In 2004 she was awarded the Silver Star Honoree at the Houston International Quilt Festival.
